Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A type of equipment which could carry loads that are about 30,000 lbs is a forklift. A forklift is also called a counterbalance. Despite being large and sturdy, these industrial machines still bear the possible risk of accident or crash. In order to be safe, be sure to have operators wear an appropriate seat belt in the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are on board. People know that in the event of an accident, seat belts can save lives.
Three-Point Seat Belt
Three-point seat belts can extend over the lap and across the upper body. These belts provide an added safety degree by protecting your body. They are offered in both bench-seat and buckle-seat types. The 3-point seat belts are offered in either retractable and non-retractable types.
The majority of modern motor vehicles on the market provide retractable seat belts. While non-retractable styles increase safety, retractable types offer much more comfort. It is impossible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
Two-point lap belts are ones which extend over the lower portion of the body. Most lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and then the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The kind of seat belt that forces a forklift operator to put on a seat belt is a circuit-closed seat belt. These seat belts have a micro-switch attached that makes an alarm sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is unsecured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band types.
